So I have this ancient acer monitor (a 17" square monitor from 2009), and it's been having a few issues. Issues like blinking out for a minute here or a minute there. Makes it a bit difficult to edit on and I don't use my tablet for editing. There just isn't enough space on that 12" screen.
I bought a new monitor today: this 32" monster
I don't have it right now, as it was out of stock in the store, but it will be shipped to my parents' place on Tuesday (I really should start shipping things to my house, but that would require me remembering my postal/zip code, because haha google maps has it wrong)
God I'm so excited to be working on that thing. It's the same size as my tv! Heh I'm going to have to rearrange my desk again...
That said, I need to recoup some of the loss of buying a new monitor. I'm opening 3 Lineless Character Card slots at [moneys] each

I am also willing to do a comic page, but the price of that is $12/per hour with a $20 down payment, not a flat rate. I would be recording/streaming the entire process to keep accurate time.
New Set Up
Oh man oh man. I got a monitor arm for my Big Honking Tablet, and it's so much easier to move around and use now. Does this mean I will Art More? God I hope so. There have been so many times where I wanted to draw, but putting the 22" monster into position and then trying to find a way to balance it on the desk (at an angle because. that's how I draw.) without it tumbling off or having to use my upper body strength to brace it was just exhausting to think about, let alone do. I used to pull the little 12" thing into my lap and balance it against the edge of the desk if need be, but definitely can't do that with this one. I've already completed a sketch idea for my deck (which. uh. for those who don't follow me on instagram, ahahahahahahaha oh. oh man. that deck needs SERIOUS repairs. fucking twisted and rotted joists. New Drawing Tablet
Welp, it's finally happened. After eight years I'm replacing my Wacom Cintiq. Probably for the best; it's getting harder to source replacements when the animals accidentally destroy parts of it.
Amazon had the Huion Kamvas Pro V22 on sale for roughly 50% off, and when I called mom to get her to talk me out of buying it, I instead got the recommendation to buy it. Mostly because starting next month I actually have to start paying my property taxes. Let me tell you, the palpitations I had when I got an overdue taxes notice from the city practically choked me. Thankfully my lawyer got that straightened out because those were supposed to be paid
Remembrance
Tis Remembrance Day.
Grandpa died one year ago this afternoon.
I'm. not entirely sure how I feel today.
Drawing a lot of pokemon. Not that this is any different than every day of the last couple weeks, but. I dunno. It seems wrong, like I should be doing something more, but at the same I don't know what I would be doing.
My aunt wanted mom to come out for the anniversary (and to go through the last of his stuff. mostly so they could go through the last of his stuff). Mom said no. I'm kinda glad she did. Vacation
Going on vacation!
This is my first non-convention related vacation in almost seven years. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do without cosplay and schedules involved.
Mom and I are headed to Hawaii for my 34th birthday. The only thing I know for sure that I want to do is see the Pearl Harbor museum, since I am exactly that kind of history dork. But that's not going to take two weeks. Sleeping in the hotel is definitely not what mom is going to want me to do even though that's like. my favorite part of a vacation.
I like sleeping. sleeping is nice.
