Birthday

Journal Entry: Thu Oct 15, 2009, 9:26 PM

WARNING: BOOZE-ADDLED RAMBLING AHEAD.

So, my birthday is the 22nd. I'll be 24.

Somehow, this does not make me happy. Or excited. Or... anything, really. Just one more nail in the coffin, if you know what I mean.

Fuck, I spent my entire drive home crying. Which would be why I turned around and bought $57 worth of booze. For the uninitiated, it takes a metric fuck ton of booze to get me drunk. I'm aiming for all out smashed tonight. Shitty to do it by myself but the roommates hafta work in the morning and I'm not in until 2.

Why was I crying? Well fuck, I'm going to be 24 and what have I done with my life so far? Worked for Zellers. Got fired. Worked in a bead store for almost half a decade. Currently working in a shit job at a book store for barely enough to cover rent and bills. Haven't held a boyfriend for longer than 3 months. Don't even get me started on my ex-girlfriends.

I spend a good 80% of my home-time online. This is completely non-conductive of having a life.

It's taken my dog FIVE YEARS to decide that he likes sleeping in my room. And now that he has, he takes up my entire bed and makes it hard for me to sleep. Why did I want him in there to begin with?

I wound up canceling my birthday party because only 4 people could come-- and two of them live with me. You know, I don't think I've ever spent any birthday in a bar. Would it kill me to get the chance to do it once? Hah, knowing my luck it would. God.

-- oh yeah. For you international peeps. I live in Alberta. Legal age is 18. So I'm at birthday #6 for bar-hopping birthdays and it's yet to happen.

Twenty four.

And all I can think is

"My mom was married at 23."

Commission Information

Journal Entry: Wed Oct 14, 2009, 10:33 AM

Everyone seems to be doing commissions, no? Well, I suppose this is a bandwagon I can jump on. I did spend my holiday weekend working on these images, after all.

Samples and Prices

Pencil Commission
$10 $5 for the first 10 commissions
Pencil Commissions are considered "rough but complete". There is minimal digital clean up involved in a pencil image.

Inked Comission
$15 $7.50 for the first 10 commissions
"Inked" commissions are digitally inked. Only areas that are completely black will be inked in. These are designed with the idea that the commissioner will want to color it. The .psd file is an additional $0.25

Flat Color Commission
$20 $10 for the first 10 commissions
Flat color commissions have no detail, but do come with a simple background. For a more complex background (such as scenery) it is an additional $5

Color Commission
$40 $20 for the first 10 commissions
Color Commissions are fully shaded/detailed. They come with a simple background. For a more complex background, see "Full" commission.

Full Color and Detail Commission
$50 Sorry, no "First Time Commissioner" price for a Full commission.
A full color and detail commission is just that. For $50 you get TWO fully colored and detailed characters, as well as a detailed background. Detailed backgrounds can be of the "abstract" sort of the sample image, or an actual scene that the character(s) are placed in. It's your choice.

As a note, the introductory rate for commissions means that the first 40 non-Full commissions will be half price.

The first two characters for a commission are free. A third character is an additional $1, as is every other character in the image after that.

If you are interested you can comment on this journal or send me a note with what you want. I require payment before starting Flat and Color commissions but Pencils and Inks I'm willing to take after completing the image.

October Commissions List

Free for Commissioning! There's no one in line yet :3

Eep. This is... slightly frightening!

Journal Entry: Tue Sep 29, 2009, 7:55 AM

I'm going to be trying something new, art wise!

Why is that frightening? Well, the last time I tried doing this was back in highschool, and it irritated and frustrated me to the point of tears several times. I'm hoping this won't be anywhere near as bad, given that it has been a good six years since I made that attempt. Actually, I got pretty good grades on those projects, it's just my own frustration with them that has given me a hands-off approach for so long.

And no, I'm not going to tell you what I'm doing until I'm ready to post them. Nyah.

icon + position + keyword = lol

This might be funny only to me but I feel like sharing. I play Marco (from the Animorphs) at CFUD. I was redoing his icons tonight, as well as uploading some new icons.

By complete accident, these two icons were uploaded in this lovely order.

That is the manliest and the girliest I've ever drawn Marco XD

Good times, good times.

And now I'm off to bed. G'night!
